A Walk in the Park

This mama is always willing to hold out for the best light for photographs, and I love that she waited until just before bed time for a little park play-date. Photographing a one-year-old and a three-year-old presents an opportunity to stay on my toes, so we played and ran and baby-wrangled. The end result is a set of real-life photos that show a lot of love and a lot of life. I love these images.

Cooper is almost 4-months-old!

I've known little Cooper since day one. I got to photograph his birth and his newborn session, and we did a quick update of his photos on Saturday. This wide-eyed guy wins you over with his easy smiles and seemingly endless wonder at the world around him. I loved getting to update his photos, and I'm already looking forward to his six-month session! His mom and dad are doing a great job, and I'm honored to call them friends thanks to this wonderful world of photography.

Landry is 1!

This little lady, along with her 4-year-old and 2-year-old big brothers, kept me on my toes the entire afternoon. Celebrating Landry's first birthday was the cause for the session. She's not quite ready to walk, but she is already a mover and a shaker. I always love seeing this crew, as watching littles grow up is one of my favorite parts of this job. I've documented Landry and her brothers' lives since they were babies, and I'm excited to share this updated set of photographs. Enjoy!

Introducing Porter

Baby Porter was six-days-old when we met, and he is such a sweetheart. All he wanted to do was snuggle with his mama, but once he fell asleep, he was up for anything. I can't wait to go back and do some photos with his big brother in a couple of weeks. The cuteness is overwhelming.

Celebrating Adoption!

A sweet Saturday afternoon with a fantastic family who just welcomed their youngest daughter home last month! Theirs is a story with beauty and life written all over it, and I loved capturing the warmth and love they share. It's truly inspiring to see the goodness of how this family is woven together. Baby T is one blessed girl, and her mom and dad and brother and sister revel in being with her.

Park Days

Family sessions at the park are perfect, even in late February in Dallas if you wait for the right day. We had to wait for just the right day for this crew. Holidays then sickness then weather then anything that could possibly go wrong seemed to do so. And then Sunday the sun shone, and two happy boys with two lovely parents joined me at the park. And we ran and played and talked Angry Birds. I love the moments I was able to capture for this crew and cannot wait to finish working on their images.

Nadine is 1!

This was my third session with sweet baby Nadine, and my how she has grown! She is a firecracker, full of laughter and squeals and so much excitement for life in general. She wanted to go, go, go, and while she's not quite walking yet, she kept me moving. I love watching little ones grow through their first year, and it's been so fun watching Nadine become her own little self. Can't wait to see what year two holds! Check out Nadine's newborn session here and her six-month session here. Don't you just love her?

Happy birthday, Campbell {Dallas Birth Photographer}

Campbell arrived in an unexpected manner, and every bit of his miraculous little self was so anticipated and loved from the start. Being a part of welcoming him meant capturing such tangible expressions of love that these photos make my eyes water. He is surely destined for greatness. Here are a few photos from his birth:

Seniors. Besties.

They've known each other since they were two, these beautiful girls. I've known them that long as well. They are world changers. Big dreamers. Talented. Lovely. Destined for greatness. Doing their senior photos meant looking into the eyes of these young women and seeing a hopeful future. They are full of life and light. I love these images. All seniors should book their sessions with their best friend. So fun.

Introducing Rowan!

Rowan brought a whole lot of newborn handsomeness and personality to his session. He ate and slept and hardly cried. He didn't mind his big sister's toddler attempts at gentleness. He made his mom and dad beam with love, love, love. It was an honor to do these photographs to celebrate the arrival of a much-wanted little man.

Baby Ché and Little Miss Luci {Bellingham Baby Photographer}

Baby Ché is my best friend's little guy, and he is all smiles and laughs, truly one of the happiest babies I've ever met. I spent a few days visiting Bellingham in January and got to do a few photos during our visit. Big sister Luci wasn't feeling a hundred percent, so I'm glad she let me take a few of her too. That said, I adore these kiddos, and their mama is a treasure of a friend. It's such fun to get to know your friends' little ones, and getting to photograph them on top of that makes me so thankful. Here are a few photos from our visit.

Winter Wedding in Whistler

A tiny, gorgeous, perfect wedding in the middle of a frozen lake in Whistler, British Colombia... The bride braved the cold in her Hunter boots. The groom beamed as he slid across the icy lake to say his vows. Spanish vows and tequila shots, a woodsy walk and a mountainous backdrop. It was heaven. I was the second photographer for my dear friend Anastasia Chomlack (how amazing is her work?!?), and we marveled at the beauty of the day. I'm so excited to share these images.

Project Life 365: Insta-Goodness Week 1

Last year I did a 366 (leap year) photo project on Instagram. I posted a photo a day. This year, my friend and fellow photographer Joni Champion mentioned she planned to do Project Life 365 as a daily photo challenge. The project is different from last year's challenge, in that the website gives daily photo assignments, meaning there's a bit of planning involved to capture each daily photo. I *plan* to share my photos here, but I am not sure I'll honestly be able to keep up. That said, I'm sharing the first week of photos now. If you want to follow me on Instagram, you can find me at eblinn. Week 1: 1/1 resolution 1/2 you_today 1/3 optimistic 1/4 graceful 1/5 view 1/6 still_life 1/7 simplicity

Eli

A few minutes with an old friend's brand new boy (and a couple of shots of one proud big sister). Eli charmed his sleepy little self right into my heart. It's quiet around here for a couple of weeks, and I'm enjoying the time while gearing up for a busy 2013. It's not too early to book your spring session.

Friends

A windy afternoon with five ladies who journey through life together. Their friendships are beautiful to witness, and I love that they booked a photo shoot to celebrate the gifts they've been given in each other.

Introducing Cooper! {Frisco Newborn Photographer}

Cooper, sweet little man, so anticipated (see his mama's maternity photos here), so loved on arrival (see his birth photos here) and so right at home during his newborn session. This was the most wide-eyed newborn I've photographed to date, but that doesn't mean he stayed awake the whole time. I love the collection of photos that will make up Cooper's newborn session, and I love that his furry friends posed as well. This is a family whose story I have been a part of since before his mom and dad were married, and that makes my day as a photographer, seeing these ongoing stories of love lived out. Welcome to the world, Cooper. It's so good to have you here.

The Days They'll Remember

Sessions like this one make me think these boys will remember days like this. Running and kissing and playing with Mom and Dad at the trail just down the road from their house. Sessions like this one are the ones I love most. Simple love and easy laughs while a family lives life to the fullest- in front of my camera- together.

Happy Birthday Cooper {Frisco Birth Photographer}

On December 11, I witnessed the miracle of Cooper Robert's birth. His mama's story is hers to tell, but I'll just say she was a champion. Cooper arrived wide-eyed and content, to hugs and kisses and love. And the world seemed a better place with this 8 pound, 8 ounce baby's presence. I photographed Cooper's parents' engagement session, wedding, gender reveal and maternity sessions. Seeing a couple I've known throughout their story become a family made me so excited for this birth, and these photos make me laugh and cry. Happy birthday, Cooper!

Moosin' Around

The kids in this family? Melt your heart adorable. Just a quick sneak peek, as holiday ordering is keeping me busy. I couldn't wait to share these, though. They make me remember why I love my job.
