Daily Photos: June Edition

Connecticut life leaves less time for blogging, and yet I miss sharing in this space. Every week I write down that I'll blog a family and newborn session and plan to blog some daily photos the next week, with the hope of getting into a rotation. Alas, thus far I've failed. Miles to run and photos to actually shoot and life to live pulls me away from my screens, and that seems like a healthier rhythm, at least for me. Still, the contemplation of revisiting photos, whether those I've shot for clients or for myself, also feels beneficial. Plus it means sharing with you.

So, a too-early wake-up has me looking through daily photos and sharing June. I make no promises that I'll be back soon but I hope to share a blog or two here and there, especially as I'm gearing up for fall and my favorite season to backdrop families against.

June 1: Giving Grandma Grandpa's jersey, which the Philidelphia Phillies gifted her upon his passing. I'm glad I got to be the courier.

June 5: After the rain. Christina, my Honey and Salt counterpart, joined me for a few days in Connecticut post-wedding, and somehow I didn't take a photo of or with her. We were at Elizabeth Park when I shot this, though, so I think of it as a visit photo. Does that count? Photographer probz.

June 8: Running in June in Connecticut felt like heaven. Still hot some days but much, much cooler than my Texas self knew what to do with.

June 10: Maria and Joe bought the house next door to us 40+ years ago. They ran a shoe store in town for the whole of their career. They're a good conversation, full of stories and life. On nice days you'll find them sitting at the end of their driveway, just like this.
